Anna was a prophetess in the Bible in the book of Luke (2:36-38) who was at the courthouse steps of the temple during the presentation of Jesus.

The courthouse step quilt block is often associated with Anna from the Bible, she was very old. Here the courthouse step blocks are put together into a baby quilt, for a fun contrast between young and old!
